President of Kootenai County Land Co., Melissa brings over a decade of real estate experience to the team. Her expertise spans land acquisition, land development, product design, and the marketing of residential communities, and she project manages large, high-value residential projects across the region, most recently at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.
Previously, Melissa spearheaded the start-up of Architerra Homes in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and served as its President. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Cum Laude, from Arizona State University. Melissa, her husband Keith, and their two children enjoy all the outdoor adventures the Northwest has to offer.

Gabe Gallinger
Gabe brings over 20 years of residential, commercial, and municipal engineering experience to the team. He manages all aspects of our developments, platting, design, budgets, and construction management, working closely with local municipalities, consultants, and contractors.
Previously he was with the City of Spokane Valley as Development Services Manager, overseeing all land development applications within the City. Gabe holds a Professional Engineering License in Washington and Idaho and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Washington State University. He and his wife Tami have three active children.

K.J. Hanley
K.J. Hanley, P.E., is an accomplished engineering leader with more than 25 years of experience advancing land development and municipal infrastructure projects across eastern Washington and north Idaho. His expertise spans residential and commercial development, municipal engineering, agency coordination, and client relationship management. Known for bringing together public agencies, utility providers, contractors, property owners, and project stakeholders, K.J. helps guide complex projects from concept through delivery with a focus on practical solutions, community value, and long-term success.
Most recently, K.J. served with Parametrix, where he managed the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene offices and acted as client manager for several regional municipalities and public-sector clients, including the City of Spokane, City of Liberty Lake, Spokane County, and the Kalispel Tribe. He is a licensed professional engineer in Idaho and Washington and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from Washington State University. Outside of work, K.J. enjoys spending time with his wife, Brooke, and their two children, often supporting their children's sporting events and family activities.
Land Development Manager
Michael Leaming
Mike is a Licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Washington and Idaho and brings more than 30 years of residential, commercial and municipal engineering design and construction management experience to the Development team. He oversees all phases of the development process from initial concept designs and preliminary plats to the preparation of final construction documents, project budgets and construction management. Mike has a great working relationship with the local municipalities and works closely with them, utility purveyors, consultants and contractors to successfully complete our land development projects in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
Mike grew up in Spokane before attending the University of Washington where he received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Soon after graduation, he returned to the inland northwest where he has lived, worked, played and raised his 2 children with his wife Brandy.
